Growth doesn't happen in comfortable places.
A few days ago, I told you about a boundary that got crossed. Then I told you about the person I turned to before I reacted. Here's the part I hadn't shared yet. That boundary being crossed didn't just reveal something about the other person. It revealed a side of me I hadn't been paying attention to. And once I saw it, I had a choice. Look away from it, or face it head on. I chose to face it. With the counsel I'd received, I addressed the situation directly. But the thing that made the difference wasn't what I said. It was staying calm while I said it. Keeping a level head in a heated moment is one of the hardest things to do. It's also one of the most powerful. I came out the other side of it in a better place. Healed, honestly, in a way I didn't expect going in. So here's what I'm curious about, and I'd genuinely love to hear from people who study this for a living. Conflict resolution experts, how do you coach people to stay calm in the heat of a moment like that? What's the difference between people who manage it and people who don't? I'll be reading every response. #ConflictResolution #EmotionalIntelligence #PersonalGrowth #Founders
