Building UploadPack has reinforced something I think applies well beyond YouTube:

Evidence beats resemblance. Something looking comparable doesn’t make it a useful comparison. So UploadPack is being built to question the reference before allowing it to influence the conclusion. That can mean less certainty. But it also means more defensible decisions. Evidence before certainty.
