A lot has moved this week — both inside UploadPack and across a few other builds.
On UploadPack, I’ve focused less on adding flashy features and more on making the product clearer, faster to understand and more reliable.
Recent work includes:
• a major SEO/content pass across the public site
• cleaner structured data and sitemap logic
• a rebuilt guided onboarding flow
• smarter first-run channel setup using a YouTube handle or URL
• genuine progress shown from the moment an account is created
• clearer visibility of what UploadPack already remembers about each channel
• stronger continuity between Channel Memory, research, opportunities and Publishing Packs
• regression testing to make sure these changes didn’t disturb stable systems like Pack generation, billing, OAuth, research scoring or email delivery
The latest activation release added new UX improvements with zero new regression failures compared with the previous stable build.
I’ve also been working outside UploadPack.
CanineMaverick — continuing SEO and authority improvements while preserving the existing design system.
PebbleTools — dependency/security work and production validation.
RSPCA collection tooling — refining the charity's collection workflow and decision-support logic.
Price N Post — exploring a stronger direction for resellers and thrifters, with pricing based on real marketplace evidence rather than guesswork.
The biggest lesson recently is that good SaaS isn’t just about adding more.
It’s about reducing friction, protecting what already works, and making the value obvious as early as possible.
For UploadPack, the line I keep coming back to is:
Stop starting every video from zero.
That started as marketing copy.
It’s now becoming the product itself.
