About

Restryde is a failed payment recovery tool built for subscription businesses that run on Stripe. When a recurring payment fails due to an expired card, insufficient funds, or a bank decline, most businesses either lose that customer quietly or rely on Stripe’s basic retry logic and a generic dunning email. For small and mid-sized subscription businesses, that’s real revenue walking out the door with no fight. Restryde connects to a business’s Stripe account, detects failed payments in real time, and then does three things: sends AI-personalised recovery emails that actually sound human rather than automated, retries the payment intelligently based on the specific failure type rather than on a fixed schedule, and tracks which recoveries the app actually caused so the numbers are honest. Failed payments are one of the most overlooked revenue leaks in SaaS and subscription businesses. Industry estimates put involuntary churn at anywhere from 20 to 40 percent of total churn. These are customers lost not because they wanted to leave but because a payment failed. Most of the tools that solve this well are built for enterprise, priced accordingly, and out of reach for smaller operators. Restryde is built for the businesses that have been underserved by that gap.

Some fun and surprise!

I joined in on Hackwithus and Restryde is currently sitting in 3rd place on the Tiun x Microlaunch hackathon leaderboard. Mostly I’m more excited to be building alongside other builders, getting some experience/feedback on the product and just having a good time. If you’ve got a minute and want to support an indie build, every vote helps. Link’s below if you want to check it out. https://www.hackwithus.dev/?flow=leaderboard&entry=restryde&ref=hackathon-support ———————————————————— Something I didn’t expect this early in building Restryde… I recently noticed several automated-looking signup attempts probing the app. They didn’t get through — the security boundaries worked as intended — but it did reveal a couple of things I wanted to tighten up. So I patched them. Honestly, I never expected a product this early in its journey to attract this kind of attention. It’s a strange feeling seeing someone actually trying to find a way into something you’ve spent months building. But I’m glad it happened now rather than after having hundreds of businesses relying on it. No breach. No customer data exposed. Just a useful early warning and a stronger Restryde because of it.

Small Fixes and Improvements

Not much today, have had a full schedule. but I always try to squeeze something in wherever I can. Fixed some small security issues, nothing to major but they’re fixed now. Also activated Google OAuth Sign In, so users can now sign up and sign in with their Google Account. Not much but every little win counts!
