Community Score vs Founder Rank — what's the actual difference?
Been getting this question a lot, so let's clear it up 👇
Before you launch a startup on Snikus, everything runs on your Community Score. It's purely about you — your own activity, nothing to do with a startup. Likes on your posts, comments you get, comments you leave on others' posts, badges you earn — all of it adds up. Verified accounts even get a small extra boost.
This shows up on your profile as your personal Community Score — it's not competing against anyone, just tracking your own progress.
The moment you launch your first startup, everything changes. Your score shifts to Founder Rank Points — based on your startup's actual traction, combined across all your startups if you have more than one. Things like real hires, active teammates, followers, likes, posts, and genuine profile views all feed into it, along with badges and the Verified boost.
This is the number that puts you on the Rankings page against other founders.
Here's the part people usually miss: nothing you built before launching goes to waste. The second you launch your first startup, your entire Community Score carries straight over into your Founder Score. Everything you earned before still counts — it just becomes the foundation your founder journey builds on top of.
