Building SafeMyID Alone — From an Idea to TestFlight
I started building SafeMyID after realizing how difficult it is for everyday people to understand their digital security.
Most cybersecurity tools are either too technical, spread across multiple services, or simply show problems without clearly explaining what users should do next.
My goal with SafeMyID is to make digital identity protection simple, accessible, and understandable.
The app is designed to help users identify potential risks connected to their email addresses, passwords, usernames, phone numbers, websites, domains, and overall online identity — all in one clear experience.
Instead of overwhelming users with technical information, SafeMyID focuses on three simple questions:
What is the risk?
Why does it matter?
What should I do next?
I am developing the entire project independently, including the mobile app, backend infrastructure, security scanners, multilingual system, website, and product design.
SafeMyID is currently in active development and is approaching its first TestFlight beta. My current focus is testing, polishing the user experience, improving reliability, and making sure the app remains understandable even for people without technical knowledge.
The long-term goal is to build a trusted digital security companion that continuously helps people understand and protect their digital identity.
I’m looking forward to sharing the development journey, lessons, challenges, and progress here.
