I've been working on a Chrome extension called PartyTube that lets you watch YouTube with friends who aren't in the same room. The host shares a simple 6-digit code, and no one can join without the host approving them first — a notification pops up so they can Accept or Reject. Once approved, guests see the host's screen streaming live in a new tab, synced in real-time using WebRTC (peer-to-peer, nothing gets routed through a server).
