I've been quiet about it, but the last few weeks have pushed me harder than most. I've been taking courses. Picking up certifications. Testing strategies I hadn't touched before. And here's what surprised me: the foundations I built my work on still stoodโ€”but the paths to get there? There's more than one way to skin that cat. I had to unlearn some habits. Try new approaches to old goals. And there's a specific kind of joy that comes from fine-tuning your process and watching it actually work. Most of us resist changing course. Or we change it too fast, before giving anything room to prove itself. Don't do either. Here's the other thing I've learned: if you want to lead, you have to be creativeโ€”not just open-minded. We talk a lot about open-mindedness in leadership. We don't talk enough about creativity. If that's not your strength, that's fineโ€”but then your job is to open the door for people who have it. Go into this weekend ready to try, fail, adjust, and try again. Louis Baddoo / Legacy Data Consultancy
