💡 The Engineering Behind Automatic Lights
Ever wondered how a light turns on when someone walks nearby? Many automatic lights use a PIR sensor to detect changes in infrared radiation. Here's the process: 🔍 The sensor detects a change. ⚡ An electronic circuit processes its signal. 💡 A switching circuit activates the light. ⏱️ A timer can turn it off after a delay. This is automation in action: technology detecting a change in the environment and responding automatically. Just Launched: SnipBox – A Lightweight Code Snippet Manager for VS Code!
Hey everyone! 👋 I have built and officially launched a lightweight and handy VS Code extension called SnipBox, designed to help developers quickly manage, organize, and store their favorite code snippets right inside their workflow. Key Features: Snippet Title & Language: Give your code a custom title and select its programming language (Python, JavaScript, C++, etc.) from a clean dropdown menu. Code Storage & Quick Copy: Paste your frequently used code into the snippet box, save it securely into your vault, and instantly search or copy it whenever needed without leaving VS Code. How to Install & Use: Open VS Code and go to the Extensions icon on the sidebar (Ctrl+Shift+X). Search for "SnipBox" and click Install. Press Ctrl+Shift+P to open the Command Palette, type snipbox, and hit Enter to launch your snippet vault! It has already crossed 67 acquisitions, and I'm super excited to share it with the developer community! Please check it out and let me know your honest feedback, bugs, or suggestions to make it better

Zero-API Agentic AI Video Editor (VividEdit.online) - $4,500
Hey devs, selling my functional MVP side project, VividEdit.online. It is an automated AI video editor. I am moving entirely into embedded systems, robotics, and mechatronics, so I need to clear this off my plate. The Pipeline: This isn't another generic API wrapper. I built this with a localized, self-hosted video processing infrastructure. It handles cuts and parsing on the backend server directly without outbound API token drainage. Running costs are completely flat and low-overhead. Asking: $4,500 via verified marketplace escrow. Affiliate: Bring me a buyer from your network, get a 15 percent ($675) split at closing. Hit my DMs for the GitHub structure or architecture overview.
Sometimes you don't need a perfect plan.
You just need a Start. Figure things out as you go, make mistakes, learn, adjust, and keep moving. A lot of People wait for the "right time" until they realize they spent years waiting. Start messy. Start small. Just start.
Building UploadPack has reinforced something I think applies well beyond YouTube:
Evidence beats resemblance. Something looking comparable doesn’t make it a useful comparison. So UploadPack is being built to question the reference before allowing it to influence the conclusion. That can mean less certainty. But it also means more defensible decisions. Evidence before certainty.
This is Me 🩷
Hellooooo, welcome to Jasmine's corner of Snikus 👋 Stick around if you're up for some real conversations. Don't worry I'll make it fun while still expressing my thoughts. Feel free to share your opinion as well 🤭

The biggest mistake in mechatronics and edge AI?
Opening your IDE before touching a piece of paper. 🛑 If you don't map the system architecture first, you aren't engineering—you're just gambling with magic smoke. 🔌⚡ Before writing a single line of code, trace the full pipeline: • Sensor to Microcontroller: How is data moving? (I²C, SPI, UART, or raw ADC?) Know your sample rates, bus bandwidth, and bottlenecks *before* wiring it up. 📡 • The AI Inference Engine: Where does the model live? Check your RAM, Flash, and clock cycles. Quantize and prune your weights to fit the edge—don’t force a cloud model onto a tiny MCU. 🧠 • Fix the Logic on Paper: Debugging data flow, memory buffers, and state machines on a whiteboard takes 5 minutes. Debugging them via serial monitor after a failed flash takes 5 hours. ✏️ Hardware hacking and edge AI live at the intersection of strict physics and fragile code. Get the physics and logic right on paper first. What’s the weirdest bottleneck you’ve run into bridging hardware and edge AI? 👇 #Mechatronics #EdgeAI #HardwareHacking #EmbeddedSystems #Robotics #ArtificialIntelligence #Engineering
Sometimes, Silence Is the Next Step
Some places don't stay with us for very long, but they become meaningful parts of a particular chapter in our journey. Snikus has been one of those places for me. While sharing HUQAN here, I had the chance to think not only about what I was building, but also about why I was building it. Reading about other founders, their ideas, their struggles, and sometimes even their simple everyday thoughts became part of that journey. Now I have another chapter ahead of me that will require more of my time and attention. So I’ll probably be much quieter here for a while. Thank you to everyone I met here — those who shared ideas, asked questions, offered support, or simply followed along quietly. Not every path continues in the same place. But the meaningful encounters along the way don't lose their meaning when our paths change. I wish everyone here the best with whatever you're building

Good competitor intelligence starts with choosing the right competitors.
UploadPack checks whether the YouTube channels you select are genuinely useful reference points across audience overlap, topic fit, format, channel scale and publishing pattern. A superficially similar channel shouldn’t automatically influence your strategy as heavily as a genuinely comparable one. Compare with context. Create with confidence. Evidence before certainty. Supporting creative I’ve created the six platform treatments above around the same campaign idea, while adapting the visual hierarchy and hook for each platform. #uploadpack #buildinpublic #youtubegrowth
Building Webset — an AI tool that redesigns any website right in your browser
I'm building a Chrome extension called Webset. Here's the idea: open any website, and Webset scans its HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Then you just tell it what you want changed — in plain English — and AI updates the page for you. No coding needed. What it can already do: > Click on any part of a webpage (a button, an image, a whole section) and just tell AI to remove it, restyle it, or fix it — no need to describe it in words > Change colors, fonts, layout, or text with simple prompts > Save multiple pages of the same website into one project, with the links between pages working automatically > Preview your redesign right inside the browser before downloading anything > Export everything as clean, ready-to-use files I've focused a lot on making it reliable — it never breaks or corrupts a page, even big ones, because the AI only writes small, safe changes instead of rewriting the whole thing from scratch. Still polishing things before launch. Would love feedback, and any feature you'd want to see.

⚙️ Motors move. Sensors measure. Controllers correct.
How does a robotic arm know whether it reached the right position? With feedback! A sensor measures the actual position, and the controller compares it with the target. If there's an error, the system can adjust its movement. This is the basic idea behind closed-loop control. It's one of the concepts that makes modern robotics and automation possible. 🤖 #Robotics #Mechatronics #ControlSystems #Engineering
Snikus was silent… but why👀
At Snikus, everyone was wrapped in a deep silence. Everyone was quietly working, deep in their own world. But somehow, it felt like they were all waiting for the same thing… Something that would break the silence. 👀
Three bad competitor choices can poison a good YouTube recommendation.
UploadPack lets you pick three channels to compare. That choice stays with you. The app now checks the quality of the comparison before trusting it. Audience overlap. Topic fit. Format. Channel scale. Publishing pattern. A 2M-subscriber entertainment channel can distort the picture for a 20k-subscriber expert channel, even when both publish on YouTube. Weak comparisons now carry less weight. Competitor research can look precise while being built on the wrong reference points. I want UploadPack to show the evidence behind a recommendation, including when the evidence is weak. Evidence before certainty.
